Eurobattery Minerals submits supplementary documentation for the Hautalampi environmental permit application

Stockholm, 24 August 2026 – The mining company Eurobattery Minerals AB (Nordic Growth Market: “BAT” and Börse Stuttgart: “EBM”; hereinafter “Eurobattery Minerals” or the “Company”) today announces that its wholly owned Finnish subsidiary FinnCobalt Oy (“FinnCobalt”) has submitted the requested supplementary documentation, including comments and corrections, in connection with the Environmental Permit Application (EPA) for the Hautalampi battery mineral project in eastern Finland.

“A thorough permitting process is an essential part of developing a mining project in Europe. With this submission complete, we remain focused on advancing Hautalampi towards a permit decision and a future supply of nickel, cobalt and copper from Finland. Responsible mining requires transparency, technical discipline and a willingness to address questions in detail,” said Roberto García Martínez, CEO of Eurobattery Minerals.

The supplementary submission follows a request from the Finnish Supervisory Agency (Lupa- ja valvontavirasto, “LVV”). The request forms part of the ongoing review of the environmental and water management permit application and covers a broad range of technical, environmental and regulatory matters.

FinnCobalt has worked together with its technical consultants and experts to prepare the requested clarifications and update the relevant documentation. The submission provides additional information and updates concerning, among other areas, the management of water and water quality, extractive waste and other waste streams, legacy mining areas and aftercare obligations, and closure planning.

Particular attention has been given to clarifying the relationship between the historic Keretti mining operations and the planned Hautalampi project, including the remaining aftercare measures relating to the former mining area and Outolampi.

“Supplementary information requests are a normal part of the environmental permitting process in Finland, particularly for projects of this nature. We have now provided the requested comments, supplementary information and clarifications, and the Hautalampi permit application is moving forward as expected. Our focus has always been to provide the authorities with clear and complete information throughout the whole process,” said Ilari Kinnunen, Managing Director of FinnCobalt.

The Hautalampi project is being developed in the historic Outokumpu mining region in eastern Finland as a future European source of nickel, cobalt and copper. The project is intended to contribute to Europe's security of supply of critical raw materials and to the sustainability transition through responsibly mined minerals produced within the European regulatory framework.

Eurobattery Minerals and FinnCobalt will continue to cooperate with the Finnish Supervisory Agency during the ongoing review of the Environmental Permit Application. The Company will inform the market about material developments in the permitting process.
